Plum Fruit Leather

Ingredients

7 lbs plumbs (around 5 quarts bowl)
3/4 C sugar
1 box parchment paper or wax paper

Preparation

  1. Cut blumbs in half and remove seed
  2. Place plumbs cut side up on 2 large cookie sheets
  3. Place in preheated oven at 400 degrees F
  4. Bake for 15 minutes (check to make sure they don't burn
  5. Remove from oven and let cool
  6. Put plums in food processer and puree
  7. Add to large bowl and stir in sugar
  8. I think I may try this with no sugar ..... depends on how ripe the plums are.
  9. Dehydrate for 1 to 8 to 24 hrs...
  10. Mine took 30 hours or so because I had 5 trays stacked in the dehydrator.
  11. cut into strips and freeze.
